January’s Pattern of the Month

The ‘Estrella’ mosaic tile in the ‘Grey’ colorway from Artistic Tile

January’s pattern certainly caught my eye — along with many others in the design community:  This mosaic tile pattern, Estrella, was recently selected for a Best of the Year award by Interior Design magazine.

It’s easy to see why; it’s a beautiful pattern and, depending upon the colorway and how it’s used, would work beautifully in many types of homes.

Style:  Contemporary, transitional

Material:  Glass mosaic tiles 12 1/4″ width x 12 1/2″ height x 1/8″ depth interlocking sheet.

Scale:  The width of the flowers is approximately 6 inches.

Use:  Conventional shower floors and  shower walls and interior walls.

Note:  This year I’m widening my scope when it comes to finding interesting patterns for home decor.  So patterns for wallpaper, carpeting and tile will all be featured, as well as fabric patterns.

And from this month on, patterned fabrics  will be incorporated into Pattern of the Month category posts.
